Easy Peanut Butter Brownie Cookies

Yum! Yum! Yum!

If you like Reese's, or brownies, or cookies or any combination of the 3, then you are in luck my friend.  This easy homemade recipe will become one of your dessert (or dinner :)) staples because its got something for everyone!

Here's what you need:

4 ounces unsweetened chocolate chopped

1 cup peanut butter chips (or chopped up Reese's)

6 Tablespoons Butter

3 Eggs

1 Cup White Sugar

1 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour

2 Tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

1/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder

1/4 Teaspoon Salt

1 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Here's what you do:

1. Melt unsweetened chocolate, semi sweet chocolate chips, and butter stirring occasionally until smooth.

2.  Whip eggs and sugar in a separate bowl for about 2 minutes or until it thickens.  Stir in the vanilla and the melted chocolate mixture.

3.  Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, coca powder and salt in a separate bowl. Once well mixed, gradually add this combination into the melted chocolate mixture.  Mix the remaining peanut butter cups into the mixture.

4.  Cover dough and chill for at least and hour or overnight.

5.  Heat Oven to 350 degrees F.  Roll chilled cookie dough into 1 inch dough balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.

6. Bake for 9-11 minutes and allow to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet.

7. Enjoy!!

*Instead of using peanut butter chips you can experiment with white chocolate chips, candy bar pieces, etc.
**Recipe should make 3 Dozen cookies

Chester, Part 2

On my Part One post of my Nova Scotia travels I had a lot of pictures from the surrounding areas of Chester, but this post is dedicated to pictures of Chester itself.  It definitely deserves its own post....

Chester is home to the oldest rural pub in Nova Scotia, the Fo'c'sle.  The food and the drinks were wonderful, I can definitely understand why this pub has lasted so long.
If you are ever in Nova Scotia may I recommend a Dark and Stormy.  This drink is Nova Scotia in a glass.  I was surprised at how much I liked it and impressed at how much I felt like a fisherman drinking it ;)

Okay, back to more beautiful pictures of Chester....

Chester, The Most Quintessential Town, Part 1

Ya'll, I cannot even begin to describe to you how wonderful this little town of Chester is.  Walking around this quaint village you are surrounded by sailboats floating in the harbor, houses of every color, blooming clusters of flowers, years of history, verandas with views, local cafes and water views that will knock you off your feet.  Basically, this little haven was as pleasant and pleasant could be.

I'm so jealous that my brother and sister-in-law get to live there 5 months out of the year, and I'm so upset that it took Wil and I 3 years to go visit!  We absolutely did not want to leave.

I know that I could not speak Chester and the surrounding towns justice, so I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves....

These next 6 pictures are from Peggy's Cove.  We stopped by there on our way back from the airport.

Our housing for the week in Chester wasn't too shabby either...

Mahone Bay

On the outskirts of Chester is another beautiful historic town, Lunenburg.  Lunenburg, established in 1753, is an official UNESCO World Heritage Site because it is one of the best surviving examples of a planned British colonial settlement.

Pictures to be continued in Part 2.....

Wil and I are headed to Canada this weekend to finally love on our new nephew. It had been 3 whole months and we have not gotten to hug him yet, so this trip has been a long time comin'!
He is just the cutest thing! I really can't get over it! I honestly can't get over how much I love all of my nephews and my niece! They are my favorites and I can't get enough of them! I'm going to be a complete mess when I have my own, that's for sure!

Anywho, we are headed to the most picturesque town and I cannot wait to share all of the pictures with you! I will definitely be posting some pictures on my blog after the fact but if you want some real time photos be sure and check my Instagram feed.

We are flying into Halifax and then making out merry way to Chester the beautiful.

Ill be sure to keep you guys posted! Until next time, eh!
