Air Force One!

Wha Whaaaaat!  I got to meet Air Force One yesterday!  Isn't she a beaut?!

Honestly, she didn't look like I thought she would.  I guess I watch way too many movies, but I had it conjured up in my head that she would be stealthy and black or have a MUCH bigger presidential seal or something.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not dissapointed- it was a once in a lifetime experience to be up close and personal with Air Force One and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Looking past the oh so adorable uniform, isn't this picture incredible!  That's me, while our company is fueling the president's plane.  How's that for a big deal! :)

Here's a little big of trivia for you, did you know that any aircraft the president is on is automatically called Air Force One?  He could be on a Lear Jet or a Helicopter, and as soon as he is onboard that aircraft is now Air Force One.  Cool, huh?!  I guess that's why they couldn't stamp "Air Force One" all over this 747 to make it cooler.

Just as cool as seeing Air Force One was seeing this C-17 come in.  It brought a lot of the secret service men, as well as, the vehicles for the presidential caravan.  Chattanooga is a smaller airport so we don't get many huge aircrafts.  Air Force One and this C-17 looked ginormous on our runway!  

I was oober impressed with the secret service men in charge of Wilson Air Center.  They were all extremely friendly and not at all what most movies portray them as.  (Except for their physic, yes they were in shape and looked the part.)  On top of how friendly they were, they gave us certificates of appreciation.  Pretty Cool if you ask me! :)

Riverbend

     The more Wil and I live in Chattanooga the more we love it.  It really is a fun city with lots of interesting and fun things to do!  This past weekend we were blessed with VIP tickets to Riverbend.  Riverbend is an 8 day outdoor concert that chattanooga has every year on the river.  The city closes off a section of downtown on the river and houses a handful of carnival food booths, fun things for kids and really great music.
     We had never been before so it was a real treat to be able to go.  The VIP seats on the pier were pretty neat and O.A.R. sounded great!

One of the best parts of the music festival is that I got to meet Dierks Bentley.  Yup, that's right.  Good ole Dierks.  I was very impressed with how down to earth and funny he was.  Plus, he has a really great signature... ;)

Yea, I'd say Chattanooga is treating us well.

Tennesseans Again!

   Well folks, its official- Wil and I have moved!  The past two weeks we have been packing and cleaning and unpacking and cleaning some more, but after a lot of hard work and some amazing help from our families we are officially Tennesseans again!  And man oh man is Chattanooga a BEAutiful city!  We have been happily surprised with the beautiful landscape and fun things to do here, but can tell you hands down that our favorite thing so far is the Enterprise South Nature Park.  At only 10 minutes away from our new house, its super convenient for us to walk Denver puppy.  The park has 2,800 acres of wooded trails for walking/running/hiking/biking and even has future plans for horse trails.   We are blown away at how well the park was done and love that Chattanooga has something like this to offer.  Hopefully everyone that lives here knows about and takes advantage of this free family-friendly park.
